Preparing for the Alpha Testing Rounds
Before we open the doors on early access, we are running Logogrind through a series of alpha testing rounds. This post explains how they work, so you know exactly what you are signing up for.
Why rounds instead of one long alpha
An open-ended alpha produces a pile of feedback nobody can act on. Short rounds do the opposite: each one has a single theme, a small group of testers, and a fixed window. We collect, we fix, we ship, and only then do we open the next round.
That keeps the loop tight enough that you actually see your feedback land in the product.
What each round covers
- Round 1: the wizard. Inspirations, colours, content, and icons. We want to know whether the questions make sense and whether the concepts you get back match what you asked for.
- Round 2: the editor. Text, fonts, colours, positioning, and live preview. This is where we look for friction: the step where you knew what you wanted but could not find the control.
- Round 3: the branding kit. Every export, in every format and size. We need real-world checks: drop the files into your slide deck, your website, your app store listing, and tell us what breaks.
- Round 4: the full run. Idea to downloadable kit, start to finish, no hand-holding. If you get stuck, that is the finding.
Each round runs for about a week, with a few days in between for us to ship fixes.
How to report what you find
Email support@logogrind.com with the round number in the subject line. A screenshot and the page URL is usually enough, and you do not need to write a formal bug report. If something felt wrong but worked, tell us that too; that is exactly the kind of thing a stable build hides.
What we do between rounds
Every round closes with a short summary: what we heard, what we fixed, and what we deliberately deferred. We publish the highlights here on the blog so you can see the product move, and so the next group of testers is not re-reporting things already in flight.
How to take part
Alpha rounds are small on purpose. If you want a seat, email us at support@logogrind.com and tell us which round interests you most: the wizard, the editor, or the kit. We will match you to a round and send the details before it opens.
If you would rather wait for a more polished build, that is what early access is for. Either way, we are glad you are here.
